Not sure how to talk to your kids about traumatic events? Child Care Aware of America is an organization which works with more than 600 state and local Child Care Resource and Referral agencies to ensure that families in every local community have access to quality, affordable child care. They recently posted on their website, access links to multiple resources for information and education on how to talk about these events with your kids.
As we all well know, it is hard to find the words to explain to them what has happened without making them fearful; and without telling them more than they really can handle.
